Why did TyRex Group, Ltd choose to partner with Samaritan Counseling Center of Austin?
In 2007, TyRex Group was awarded an “Ethics in Business” Award by The Samaritan Center of Austin for high ethical principles in its everyday business practices. Because of this relationship, TyRex Group wanted to give back to The Samaritan Center of Austin in a way that would show their gratitude for the award they received.
Is my donation on RecognizeGood, tax-deductible?
Absolutely! Every single charity featured on RecognizeGood qualifies for 501(c)(3) non-profit status from the IRS - and that means every donation you give counts as a tax-deductible donation. When you make a donation through our site, be sure to save and/or print the confirmation e-mail you receive from RecognizeGood for your tax records. However, the honoree that chooses the charity that will receive the donation does not receive the same tax-deduction. See more information about your tax-deductible contribution in the Tax Information section.
Are there fees when I donate through RecognizeGood?
Yes. RecognizeGood charges a small tax-deductible fee for credit card transactions. This fee is used to pay banks, credit card companies and other administrative costs. RecognizeGood does not profit from the fees.
Why shouldn't I just give directly to a charity and avoid paying RecognizeGood's fees?
The purpose of your donation is to publicly honor the person who changed your world with their act of kindness or charity. The person you are honoring will be able to choose the charity to share your donation with The Samaritan Center of Austin. We've added on-line credit card processing for your convenience.
What are the benefits of registration?

You will also have access to expanded features including the ability to create a personalized portfolio of people you have thanked, see more in-depth data on your submitted stories and compare good deeds in other cities across the country.
