Don has raised over $500,000 for the Samaritan Center over the past 10 years. Since 2000, he has championed a very successful golf tournament called the Minister’s Cup, where church members participate in the tournament while their minister plays for free.

Since 2000, he has championed a very successful golf tournament called the Minister’s Cup, where church members participate in the tournament, while their minister plays for free. As a long-time Samaritan Center Board member, he also passed the gauntlet to his daughter, Andrea Ames, who now co-chairs this event with her father and joins him on the board.Nancy Blaich, Executive Director of the Samaritan Center, says it is immeasurable how much time, talent and treasure Don has given to the organization in the last decade. His contributions have impacted countless lives and will continue to do so for years to come.
