The Business In Community program facilitates a deeper connection between local companies and local nonprofits in Central Texas, bringing leaders from all sectors together to build mutually beneficial understanding of each other’s roles in a strong community.

By focusing on a connection with the people who make up a business and who are personally invested in the strength of their community, nonprofits and local companies strengthen all of Central Texas.


RecognizeGood’s Business in Community program centers around the idea that investment from both the business and community sectors in the formation of deeper, more meaningful connections through engaging experiences benefit not only companies and nonprofits, but the people who help our community thrive. For businesses, that means going beyond checkbook philanthropy.

After listening and learning from insights of all sectors at the inaugural Business in Community Forum, RecognizeGood launched the first pilot project designed to put these shared beliefs into action. The Business in Community Connection project gives nonprofits and businesses the first step in engaging, meaningful relationships – mutual appreciation! In tangible terms, RecognizeGood collaborates with nonprofits to create personalized gratitude gifts designed for the employees of community-minded businesses. With RecognizeGood erving as facilitator and protector of these nonfinancial relationships, nonprofits are introduced to new audiences while businesses are able to foster purposeful employment through personalized, engaging experiences for their employees.
