RecognizeGood Spotlight: Impact Austin

For today’s RecognizeGood Spotlight, we would like to highlight an organization called Impact Austin, and to recognize the good they are doing in our community! A group of progressive leaders in women’s philanthropy, their goal is to bring new resources to the community. They also focus on creating women who are inspirational role models. Impact Austin’s goal is for women to reach their full potential for a better quality of life in the community.

Impact Austin gives multiple grants of more than $100,000 each June to local, worthy causes selected by their members. Membership requirements are simply to be female and to donate $1,000 each year. Beyond this, each member can be as engaged or uninvolved as she chooses. One hundred percent of each member’s donation goes to the grant recipients. They keep their costs low by using an all-volunteer staff and tapping into the talent of their own members.

Impact Austin was also recently nominated for the Ethics in Business and Community Award, a tremendous honor and credit to their organization.
