RecognizeGood Graphic: Say Thanks Austin Action

Say Thanks, Austin Is Almost Here!

The annual Say Thanks, Austin event is just around the corner, and we will again have the wonderful opportunity to celebrate the unsung heroes of Austin, Texas, and call attention to the past year’s RecognizeGood Legends. Anyone with a computer and Internet access is encouraged to show their gratitude for these extraordinary civil servants with a simple “Say Thanks” vote, which can be done once a day, every day, through the Say Thanks Austin website or RecognizeGood Facebook fan page. Voting will begin January 2nd through January 26th, 2013.

There will be a closing ceremony at the end of the campaign which is open to the general public. Attendance is encouraged for all Legends, their team members and nonprofit organization representatives. The Legend who receives the most Say Thanks votes will be presented with a $10,000 Pay-It-Forward donation that they can contribute to a 501c(3) nonprofit organization of their choice. Second place will receive a $2,500, third place a $1,500 and all others a monetary donation of up to $500 in correspondence with the number of votes they attained.

This year’s campaign will mark Say Thanks Austin’s third annual event. In the ever-growing efforts of our team to reach as many people as possible and spread our message of good faith as far as we can, we hope to obtain a minimum of 30,000 total “Say Thanks” votes for this year’s campaign. Be looking for another post from us next week, where we will be highlighting each of the 2012 Legends and what makes them so special!
