Jaime Rodriguez Recognized For Work With Keep Austin Beautiful

RecognizeGood honored Jaime Rodriguez with the 79th RecognizeGood® Legend award in a presentation at Lanier High School’s Monarch and Green Teen Gardens (1201 Payton Gin Road, Austin TX 78758) beginning at 5:00pm on Monday October 29, 2018. During this event, RecognizeGood made a $1,000 pay-it-forward donation to Keep Austin Beautiful in Jaime’s name.

Jaime Rodriguez’s above-and-beyond volunteer spirit has not only impacted Austin’s environment, but also set a great example for his classmates. While attending Lanier High School, Jaime began volunteering for Keep Austin Beautiful, contributing hundreds of hours to green-themed service projects and activities. Jaime has volunteered for Keep Austin Beautiful in virtually every possible way – he built and cared for his school’s native plant garden, ran a full Earth Day event, and has even gone door-to-door promoting community cleanup projects. With his efforts to reduce waste, Jaime’s actions serve as a catalyst for environmental efforts both at his high school and in the Austin community.

As a 2018 Legend, Jaime is now eligible to participate in RecognizeGood’s Say Thanks Austin campaign, an annual event which presents Central Texas with a unique opportunity to say “thank you” to a group of remarkable individuals who contribute their time and talents to our community. The participant with the most Thank You votes receives a pay-it-forward donation of $10,000 to the nonprofit of their choice.
