Rotary Club of Pflugerville Presented with 21st Lighthouse Award

RecognizeGood is proud to honor Rotary Club of Pflugerville with our 21st RecognizeGood Lighthouse Award!

Rotary Club of Pflugerville has made an impact for 22 years and counting, supporting countless organizations in the Austin community. The club’s 55 members volunteer and support a variety of organizations including: Libraries of Love, Blue Santa, Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Youth Leadership Camp and Baylor Scott & White Cancer Center. Each year, Rotary Club of Pflugerville awards at least $25,000 in scholarships to local high school seniors. Additionally, the group completes a community project, through a Distance Assistance Program (DAP) Grant. This included their work on Pfluger Park, where they added benches, a second volleyball court, and an outdoor shower. The organization hosts several fundraisers each year, including a golf tournament, Casino Night as well as two booths at Deutschen Pfest, Pflugerville’s most popular festival. With the presentation of this award, RecognizeGood gives the Rotary Club of Pflugerville a heartfelt THANK YOU on behalf of the entire community.

Joel Coffman, RecognizeGood Executive Director, presented the organization with several thank-you gifts – a $250 donation, an award plaque, two tickets to the 2018 Ethics in Business & Community Awards luncheon, and a pay-it-forward donation to Mobility Worldwide in the club’s name. This recognition represented a sincere “Thank you!” for an amazing display of selfless service from the entire group at Rotary Club of Pflugerville!
